Rock robots ?

I was trying to find an overview of which systems are running the Robot
construction kit software. I couldn't find any reference on
http://rock-robotics.org

There's this list of DFKI robots, but it doesn't mention which software it
runs:

http://robotik.dfki-bremen.de/en/research/robotsystems.html

BTW, the AILA robot seems a good candidate for using iTaSC to control the
grasping...

Some people are looking into that, but are currently a bit put off by
the complexity of iTaSC. I will let them answer in more details ;-)

Which means that there is also some interest into making sure that rock
tools can interact with itasc ... But don't hold your breath.

Impressive, thanks a lot ! I hope you can put these in a 'robots' page on
the rock website, we could then announce&link these on orocos.org as well.

That's an impressive variety of applications, and a great demonstration of how widely-applicable the component-based software principals of Orocos and Rock are.

It's also a wonderful assessment of Orocos and Rock, too. If they're good enough for underwater robots, flying robots, and a car, then they're good enough for [your robot here]!

Definitely what your mail put in my mind ;-)
