log4cpp and the log4cpp orocos port

Hi,

just a "simple" ;-) question.

The log4cpp (Orocos port) is binary compatible with the log4cpp that ship the
linux distros as debian, ubuntu, fedora,* etc?

Best regards,

Leo

* in the same conditions, same build dependency.

No. We add some functions to it (actually, I think just one function). When I've tried (accidentally) linking RTT to the vanilla log4cpp, it has failed.

You must use our custom modified log4cpp. I tried feeding patches to the project, but no takers. I intend to try again, along with several other fixes we've made ...
